Citizen Skate Cafe is owned and operated by Jesus People USA, a Christian community located in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago. Jesus People is a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Citizen Skate Cafe, along with several other businesses, pay the bills of our community, which in turn enables us to proide a variety of ministries to our neighbors. We operate a shelter for the homeless and distribute food and clothing. We also publish books and a magazine, sell roofing supplies, run a recording studio and record label, and produce a mammoth music festival each summer.
